Edna and C. J. DeLoach Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2012 by Jean and Douglas Haldane in memory of Jean’s parents Edna and C. J. DeLoach. This scholarship is available to first-year students enrolled in any curriculum program. Edna and C. J. DeLoach were educators in the North Carolina Piedmont. C. J. taught Vocational Agriculture in high schools for 36 years and Edna taught in Elementary School for about 20 years. They were each well-respected by their community and their students and often became friends and mentors of former students. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA; demonstrate a financial need by completing the FAFSA.
